Now We’re Moving!

Really, it looks like we’re moving! An offer we made on a house was accepted this week!

My head is spinning with all of the things we need to do, and some of them need to be done immediately, and others seem to be on the whim of our lender. But I am very appreciative of our lender. I love Scott and Gretchen, our realtors, they’ve been amazing! They were in frequent contact with us, even working up on offer while they were on vacation in Mexico! Yeah, they’ll be getting at least one bottle of the finest wine made in Eau Claire, WI (shout-out to Infinity Beverages)! More like a case.

This is all new to us, I’m learning something every day. Not sure how much of it is being retained, but between Dave, me and our realtors, it will all get worked out.

We hope to close in late March, early April. It’s such a fun little house. The current owner has put a lot of work into it, and it really shows. It’s small but spacious, and while there are lots of great updates, it still has some of the charm that a lot of the houses in the neighborhood have. Many of them are older with beautiful woodwork and brick features. We have lots of friends in the neighborhood and we’re already planning game nights.

So it’s going to be a busy couple of months! I go to Seattle in two weeks, we will be packing and planning, and going about daily life at the same time. I’m making lists of what we need to do and when we need to do it, thinking about what will go where, and how to acclimate the cats to the new place. Of course I’ll post updates as we go!

Oh, and here’s a photo of my cats, because it is Friday and cats are cute. Especially mine.
